Rarity and printing treatment answer different questions. Rarity describes the card’s published category, while treatment describes the physical version you have.
Common rarity labels
Catalog entries may use C for Common, UC for Uncommon, R for Rare, SR for Super Rare, SEC for Secret Rare, and L for Leader. Promo cards can have their own labeling.
Why the variant matters
Two cards with the same number and rarity can still have different artwork or finish. Look at the variant and language before comparing cards or values. Umi keeps these printings distinct.
A practical check
Read the number, find the set, then compare all matching versions. When no version clearly matches, avoid guessing from rarity alone.
